Wedding Pictures of the Olsens

It was a privilege and joy to be able to photograph the wedding of Brock and Kelsey Olsen. They were married in the Vancouver LDS Temple that is located in Langley. I have to admit to feeling some trepidation when we were driving through Chilliwack in the pouring rain! But we knew that December weather on the coast is chancy at best. By the time we arrived, the rain had lightened considerable, although it was still pretty misty and cold. Luckily, the temple has a beautiful covered entryway so we were able to take many of the pictures there. They keep a container of umbrellas at their front door and we were happy to find this cute clear white one that helped us get some beautiful pictures. What I was truly grateful for that day,  was having my wonderful husband, Don and son, Mitchell along who totally kept me covered with umbrellas while I was shooting!

Both the bride and groom families were there, so we had quite the happy and fun, but shivering crowd! They happily posed with the bride and groom while I was trying to work fast. We took as many pictures as we could in the cold, but had to take some coat breaks with Kelsey.  She wore a beautiful lacy wedding dress, but wedding dresses are not very warm! Later on that afternoon, the  Branchflowers and Olsens invited us to a family dinner held at a beautiful restaurant in Maple Ridge called the Bella Vita.  Brock and Kelsey’s happiness made the pictures a delight to work with! I’ve known these two since they were teenagers when they first started dating, and it made this wedding day a memorable one! Thank you Brock and Kelsey for the chance to share in your joy! All of our best wishes for the days and years ahead!

Hi, I’m Kasandra and I’m so glad you are here! I am a natural, bright and bold photographer based in Kamloops, British Columbia, and I love living in Canada even when it’s snowing! My love of photography started the day my Don brought home a “real” camera for me 15 years ago and I fell in love with the pictures I took that day! My love of family pictures then transitioned to portraits, engagements, weddings and sports (I have had a great time over the years taking pictures of my kids playing soccer, rugby and basketball!) I am never happier than when I have a camera in my hand!
