Once in a while you have to deliberately step out of your comfort zone and this photo shoot was one for me! I love taking portrait photography in the daylight where there is lots of light! My daughter Rebecca’s friend Nikora Smith who visited us at Christmas is a night time, landscape photographer (check out his amazing pictures on Instagram) and we decided to take our cameras along to the Kamloops Wildlife Park for their Wildlife Display. I have been to this display for years but taking my camera along to deliberately look for light made me look at it in a new way. Desmond Tutu said: “Hope is being able to see that there is light despite all of the darkness!” It was amazing to not only look for, but photograph light in the dark. We can always find light when we look for it, even in our darkest hours. Here is what I captured…
