Fixing a Not So Good Photo

This is one of Scott Kelby’s Photoshop CS Down and Dirty tricks “making a snapshot photo effect in photoshop” that I think I will try to use again…you can use a “not so good” photo, isolate the subject and make it fun! Here I have my daughter Rebecca at her Principal’s Honour banquet holding her certificate against a pretty boring background.

By putting her in a snapshot (putting a stroke around her and shadowing it) and then changing the background I was able to make the photo fun and memorable. The text font is Courier New.

WELCOME

Hi, I’m Kasandra and I’m so glad you are here! I am a natural, bright and bold photographer based in Kamloops, British Columbia, and I love living in Canada even when it’s snowing! My love of photography started the day my Don brought home a “real” camera for me 15 years ago and I fell in love with the pictures I took that day! My love of family pictures then transitioned to portraits, engagements, weddings and sports (I have had a great time over the years taking pictures of my kids playing soccer, rugby and basketball!) I am never happier than when I have a camera in my hand!
