Jeff and Vanessa in Sun Peaks

Congratulations to my Vanessa and her Jeff who celebrated their engagement and they did it in style in the winter on top of a mountain!! Aren’t they gorgeous!! It was such a fun day.bDon and I had driven up to Sun Peaks the week before so I could scope out some fun places for pictures! Yes, I have a super amazing husband who did that for me because he knows I like to be prepared! By the time we arrived the sun had set, but I found some bridges and some breathtaking views so it was definitely worth the trip! Not only that, but the lights on all of the trees were just gorgeous! Sun Peaks in the winter is amazing!

So I accompanied Jeff and Vanessa a couple of weeks later, as they wanted to look over the resort and touch base with the wedding planner. We then headed out for pictures! We were able to get some beautiful ones with mountains in the background and they were both so good with posing, even though it was still pretty cold.

Jeff and Vanessa wanted to use this beautiful blanket in their engagement photo shoot as it brought back family memories! This lovely quilt was given to Jeff by his maternal grandmother, Theresa who passed away while he was in University. He grew up with these grandparents who lived close to his family while growing up in Nova Scotia!I’m always happy when people bring props, special items or even clothes that either make them feel better or bring precious memories! They make their pictures more meaningful and loved by bringing in family or memories that have made them happy! I’m sure Jeff’s Grandma would be thrilled to know this labour of love continues to be used and cherished in the years to come. I know I was so happy to be able to include it in these special pictures!

Congratulations Jeff and Vanessa, we are so looking forward to your wedding in October, where you will be surrounded by friends and family who adore you! It will be a happy day!!

Hi, I’m Kasandra and I’m so glad you are here! I am a natural, bright and bold photographer based in Kamloops, British Columbia, and I love living in Canada even when it’s snowing! My love of photography started the day my Don brought home a “real” camera for me 15 years ago and I fell in love with the pictures I took that day! My love of family pictures then transitioned to portraits, engagements, weddings and sports (I have had a great time over the years taking pictures of my kids playing soccer, rugby and basketball!) I am never happier than when I have a camera in my hand!
