I was thrilled to be able to photograph the Atwood family last weekend in Salmon Arm, British Columbia! We met at the beautiful McGuire Lake Park that is in the centre of town! With 17 people coming, I made sure that I scouted the location beforehand as I wanted to be sure we could fit everybody! I was also hoping to get some light as we are dealing with so much smoke here in British Columbia right now! The Atwoods come from Lethbridge, Alberta but were up visiting family here!
I was delighted when the whole family showed up in all of these beautiful pastel colours that matched their surroundings perfectly! Of course, the children were thrilled to see the ducks and turtles so that made for a happy place, with lots of running around! I think parents were hoping those beautiful colours wouldn’t get muddy! From the family shoots to the individual ones, it was made a lot easier because I had a cheering section behind me the whole time! Someone, including my husband Don, tried to make sure everyone was looking and smiling at the camera, but I don’t think we were successful most of the time! I have to admit, the outtakes were hilarious and I think the Atwood family are going to end up liking them the most!
What a wonderful family you have Doug and Rachel! Thank you for loving my daughter Rebecca and bringing her into your hearts! She loves you all!
