Temple Wedding in Cardston, Alberta

It was such a gorgeous day for a wedding in Cardston, Alberta and I was so happy to be a part of it! Peter Baker was marrying his sweetheart Makenzie Atwood and with families and friends there, it was a special day. From pictures taken after the wedding in the Cardston, LDS temple to Park pictures in Lethbridge to reception pictures taken that evening, it was a whirlwind day! The happiness of the bride and groom was evident in every picture!

Makenzie’s beautiful bride dress was made in Venusta’s Bridal Salon in Magrath and it was breathtaking on her! The gorgeous details on the bodice of the dress carried into the skirt and train which were so lovely to get pictures of! I can see why Makenzie chose this dazzling dress for her wedding day!

The bride and bridesmaids bouquets of blue, violet and white were custom made and the attention to detail was extraordinary! I found out that the bouquets were made by a local florist at New Hope YQL Floral and Botanical, who were amazing with their customer service.

From the first look, to family pictures, bride and groom formals and all the way to the reception, it was such a joy to be able to be a part of the photography team at this wedding! A big thank you from me to James and Elianna Atwood the lead photographers!

Peter and Makenzie met at a dance, became friends and eventually after spending time together, their love grew until they knew they wanted to be married! I have to admit, my most memorable moment of the day was the look in Peter’s eyes when he was watching Makenzie at the park and he said: “I am so lucky!” How sweet is that?

Weddings are the chance to pledge your love for each other in front of your family and friends and to show that you both feel lucky!  You have been chosen to be someone’s “one and only!” I hope this first day of the rest of your life Peter and Makenzie, will always be special! Thank you for allowing me to be a part of it…

Hi, I’m Kasandra and I’m so glad you are here! I am a natural, bright and bold photographer based in Kamloops, British Columbia, and I love living in Canada even when it’s snowing! My love of photography started the day my Don brought home a “real” camera for me 15 years ago and I fell in love with the pictures I took that day! My love of family pictures then transitioned to portraits, engagements, weddings and sports (I have had a great time over the years taking pictures of my kids playing soccer, rugby and basketball!) I am never happier than when I have a camera in my hand!
